COLUMBIA, KY.--Women's Volleyball falls to Lindsey Wilson in three on the road. The Phoenix are now 17-14 on the season and 3-6 in Mid-South Conference play.

Cumberland tallied 31 kills with a .241 hitting percentage on 87 total attacks. The team also recorded 29 assists and served up three aces, contributing to their offensive efforts. Defensively, the Phoenix had 38 digs and seven blocks.

Lila Cade led the offensive effort with nine kills, hitting .389, while Alei Roper added eight kills with a .412 hitting percentage. Haley Mitchell contributed seven kills. Hailey Jones chipped in four kills and a block solo, and Ella Johnson added a service ace and had seven digs. Emma Chavers set up the offense with 12 assists and 6 digs, and Skylar Rivers posted 8 digs of her own. Morgan Snead led the team in digs with nine.

Lindsey Wilson recorded 43 kills on a .320 hitting percentage with only 12 attack errors on 97 attempts. Defensively, Lindsey Wilson was solid, tallying 42 digs and a strong presence at the net with 14 blocks, including four block solos. Setter Monika Szwarc added in 31 assists.

Elizabeth Moore led the offensive charge with 13 kills on a .500 hitting percentage, while Savanah Pippin added 11 kills, hitting .714. Ola Wyrzykowska contributed nine kills and was solid defensively with 11 digs. Elisa Burzio added six kills and 10 digs. Laura Milori posted five block assists.

Elizabeth Moore led the offensive charge with 13 kills on a stellar .500 hitting percentage, while Savanah Pippin added 11 kills, hitting an outstanding .714. Ola Wyrzykowska contributed 9 kills and was a defensive anchor with 11 digs. Elisa Burzio was another force, adding 6 kills and 10 digs. Laura Milori dominated at the net with 5 block assists, helping secure the team's strong defensive presence.

Lindsey Wilson won the first set big 25-13. Cumberland picked up an early lead getting up 5-2, but an 8-0 run gave the Blue Raiders all the momentum in the set. Cumberland cut it to a two point deficit at 15-13, but Lindsey Wilson rattled off 10 consecutive points to win the set 25-13.

The Blue Raiders continued that momentum into the second set picking up the first four points. Trailing 5-3 early, Lindsey Wilson went on a 5-0 run to get up by seven. The Phoenix fought back to get it within two points down 17-15 and later 18-16, but Lindsey Wilson held off the runs by Cumberland to take the second set 25-22.

Lindsey Wilson again got off to a hot start in third scoring the first five points of the match leaving the Phoenix to play catch up. CU battled back to tie it and then take the lead at 13-12 on a 4-0 run, Cumberland's first lead since early in the first set. Tied at 16-16, Lindsey went on a 4-1 run to get up by three and then closed the match on a 5-1 run to win the third set 25-19 and sweep the Phoenix.

Cumberland will be back in action on Thursday on the road as CU takes on Campbellsville.
