The Tigers took their first lead at after a 4-0 run, but Cumberland quickly reclaimed the lead with a 3-0 run. Two 3-0 spurts for GC saw two CU points in between for a 17-15 Tigers lead. The Tigers pushed that to 20-17, but after a CU timeout, the Phoenix came out and rattled off five straight points to take the lead. Georgetown would tie it one more at 23-23 before a Konkel kill and Tigers error gave CU a 25-23 set win.
