Anglin and Robinson Sweep MSC Weekly Honors

LEBANON, Tenn.--Jalen Anglin and Keyshawn Robinson sweep the Mid-South Conference Men's Basketball weekly awards, announced by the Mid-South Conference on Monday.

Anglin earned Mid-South Conference Offensive Player of the Week after averaging 21.0 points per game last week while shooting an efficient 56% from the field. He erupted for a season-high 30 points against Bethel, connecting on 10-of-16 shots, including three three-pointers, and going 7-of-8 from the free-throw line. He followed that performance with 12 points in Cumberland's 83-72 victory over Campbellsville, where he also contributed four rebounds.

In total, Anglin shot 14-of-25 from the field (56%) and 4-of-11 from beyond the arc (36.4%) while knocking down 76.9% of his free throws. He also added 2.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals per contest.

This is Anglin's first conference player of the week award this season and of his career. This is the fourth time the Phoenix have won the offensive player of the week award this season.

Robinson was named the MSC Defensive Player of the Week after posting 10.5 rebounds and 3.0 steals per game across two contests. He posted a double-double against Bethel scoring 13 points while grabbing a season-high 14 rebounds. He followed that up with another strong performance against Campbellsville, securing seven boards and recording four steals to help the Phoenix earn an 83-72 victory.

In total, Robinson tallied 21 rebounds, six steals, and was a disruptive presence on defense throughout the week.

This is Robinson's second Defensive Player of the Week award this season and of his career. This is the third time a Phoenix earned the defensive weekly honor.

Cumberland will be in action tonight as the Phoenix host No. 3 Georgetown at 7:30 p.m.
