Cumberland Athletics Announces NIL Partnership with Influxer

LEBANON, Tenn.--Cumberland University Athletics has announced a new collaboration with Influxer, naming the company as its official partner in the Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) retail space.

Founded in 2022, Influxer was created with the mission of connecting student-athletes to the tools and resources needed to succeed in the evolving NIL landscape. The company works with hundreds of colleges and universities nationwide, providing student-athletes the opportunity to sell personalized merchandise using officially licensed institutional branding.

Through the partnership, Cumberland student-athletes will be able to create and manage their own personal NIL merchandise stores while remaining compliant with university and NAIA guidelines. Influxer's platform allows student-athletes to market themselves through custom apparel and merchandise while developing valuable entrepreneurial and branding experience.

In addition to merchandise creation, Influxer places a strong emphasis on education and professional development. Student-athletes will have access to free one-on-one coaching with Influxer staff on topics such as social media marketing, taxes, and contract literacy. The company also offers paid internship opportunities on partner campuses, providing hands-on experience in areas such as marketing, graphic design, and business operations.

The partnership is free for Cumberland student-athletes to join and will allow them to sell personalized merch on the platform at https://influxermerch.com/colleges/cumberland-university.

Cumberland Vice President for Athletics Ron Pavan emphasized the importance of aligning NIL opportunities with education and long-term development.

"We are excited to partner with Influxer to provide our student-athletes with meaningful NIL opportunities that go beyond compensation," Pavan said. "This partnership allows our student-athletes to learn valuable business and branding skills while engaging with our fans and supporters in a way that reflects the values of Cumberland Athletics."

Once a Cumberland student-athlete opts in, Phoenix fans, alumni, and supporters will be able to purchase officially approved NIL merchandise through the Cumberland Influxer store. Merchandise offerings will include a variety of apparel and specialty items, with new designs expected to be released throughout the year.

The collaboration reflects Cumberland Athletics' continued commitment to supporting student-athletes beyond competition by providing real-world opportunities that prepare them for success after graduation.
