LEBANON, Tenn.--Cumberland junior Logan Heckert earned Mid-South Conference Wrestler of the Week honors after capturing the 174-pound open division championship at the Pepsi Patriot Open on Oct. 31.

The Joelton, Tenn., native, ranked No. 12 nationally at 174 pounds, finished 5-0 with two pins and three technical falls. Heckert capped his championship run with consecutive victories over nationally ranked opponents in the semifinals and finals.

Heckert opened the tournament by pinning Reinhardt's Dane Kracht in 5:36 before posting a 20-5 technical fall over unattached wrestler Jake Pointkowski. He followed with a 22-6 technical fall against Southeastern's Gabriel Brisker to advance to the semifinals.
