LANSING, Mich. --  Phoenix would fall to the Saints in the baker series and now look ahead to next season.

To open day two, the Phoenix would go against the No. 7 seed, Saint Francis in a best-of-seven baker series. With the loser being eliminated from the NAIA National Tournament. Saint Francis would win the match 4-1 in the best-of-seven and eliminate Cumberland from the NAIA National Championship. 

Cumberland would win game one 222-208, but then lose games two through five with scores of 202-160, 226-222, 223-194, and 214-194.

Cumberland's 2025-26 season is now in the books, as the Phoenix look ahead to the 2026-27 season. They had an impressive season, sweeping the Mid-South Conference championships, having the Bowler of the Year, Coach of the Year, and Assistant Coach of the Year, and making the NAIA National Championship for the second straight season.
