LEBANON, Tenn. - - No. 3 Cumberland men's soccer head down to Georgetown looking to stay perfect in Mid-South Conference play this Thursday.

The Phoenix go into this matchup with a 7-0-2 overall record and 2-0 conference play record. This last week the Phoenix defeated Freed-Hardeman away 3-1 in conference before a thrilling 4-1 comeback win at home to SCAD.

Offensively, the Phoenix have dominated their opponents this far, currently leading the Mid-South Conference with 29 goals. The attack for the Phoenix has been fluid, Luis Cerejo and David Barbakadze lead in points with 19 the pair have been supported by Wesley Mendoza with 13 points. Cerejo currently leads the team in assists with five with seven goals and David Barbakadze leads in goals with eight goals with three assists. Wesley Mendoza has added five goals and three assists.

Defensively, Pau Gelabert has been the man for the Phoenix between the sticks starting all nine games with 21 saves with a 0.656 save percentage.

The Tigers come into the contest with an overall record of 1-5-2 and a conference record of 0-1-1. The Tigers were able to seal a 2-2 tie against Campbellsville in their first conference game before falling 4-0 to the University of the Cumberlands 4-0.

Georgetown have had a difficult start goalscoring wise with only 4 goals overall and 2 in conference. The Tigers have conceded 18 goals. 

On offense the Tigers are led by Logan Anderson and Reid Schulten, each coming into the match with two goals and two assists respectively.

In between the sticks the Tigers have relied on Simon Heine the most with six games started, having conceded 11 goals with 33 saves and a 0.750 save percentage.

The Phoenix have the historical advantage in this matchup with 12 wins and currently on a three game winning streak against the Tigers.
