LEBANON, Tenn. - -  The Cumberland Phoenix swept Lindsey Wilson for the first time since 2010, earning a 3-0 victory over the Blue Raiders at Dallas Floyd Phoenix Arena.

With the win, Cumberland improved to 11-11 overall and 3-1 in conference play, while Lindsey Wilson fell to 12-11 overall and 2-2 in conference play.

The Phoenix had to battle in the opening set, coming away with a 27-25 win to take an early 1-0 lead. Cumberland kept the momentum going in the second set, pulling away for a 25-22 victory before closing out the sweep with a 25-19 win in the third.

Carola Schnidrig led the Phoenix attack with 13 kills while hitting .308 on 26 attempts. Jacey Hubbell added 10 kills, while Bianca Guceanu and Hailey Jones each finished with six. Jones also had a strong night offensively, hitting .400 on 15 attacks.

Carlee Rogers helped lead the Cumberland offense with 30 assists while adding two kills, three blocks, 15 digs and a service ace. Kaleigh Glass finished with 13 digs and three service aces, while Guceanu added 12 digs.

The Phoenix also made an impact at the net, finishing with 16 total blocks. Abigail Foster led Cumberland with five block assists, while Rogers, Guceanu and Jones each recorded three.

As a team, Cumberland finished with 37 kills on 111 attacks and hit .180 for the match. The Phoenix also recorded 36 assists, seven service aces and 56 digs.

Cumberland will return to action Saturday in Joliet, Ill., for a doubleheader against the University of St. Francis (Ill.) and Judson University. The Phoenix will face St. Francis at 1 p.m. CT before taking on Judson at 3 p.m. CT.
