Thomas Denney

Thomas Denney begins his seventh year as Associate Broadcasting Director at Cumberland in 2025-26. He oversees all live streaming on game days but also assist with special features such as the Cumberland Coaches' Show that specialed throughout the pandemic.

He has helped overhaul the Cumberland Sports Network adding multiple camera angles at sporting events, new updated scorebug graphics, and additional features to the home live broadcasts. 

Denney is familiar with the athletics department, spending 11 years prior to being hired on working as a videographer at Cumberland for home football, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's soccer, and men's and women's volleyball, and wrestling events before being promoted to Associate Broadcasting Director.

Denney helped overhaul the Cumberland Sports Network when he came in and has continues to expand the streaming capabilities. He gave the stream a new-look with updated scoreboard graphics and in-game graphics and in year two is expanding from a simple one-camera live stream to full on production. Denney is responsible for producing all home broadcasts for Cumberland athletics.

He also works closely with the on-air radio talent as he assists Christian Kaposy and Bob Lea at football, Jon Boyce at men's and women's basketball, Randy Sallis at home baseball games, and Kyle Allen with soccer, volleyball, and softball.  

Prior to CU, Denney undertook broadcasting audio and video with Lebanon High School football. He is employed full-time at System Integrations, working with various audio and video products. 

Thomas and his wife, Valerie, have been married for 18 years and reside in Lebanon.
