LEBANON, Tenn.--The 15th-ranked Patriots capitalized on Cumberland turnovers early to get up big before going on to win, 97-55.

Cumberland (10-14, 3-8 MSC) got down early and could not find any momentum to get back in the game. The Phoenix finished the game shooting 33.3% from the field and made 3-of-12 threes. The Phoenix found their way to the line 24 times making 16 free throws. 

Lindsey Freeman was the leading scorer for Cumberland scoring 11 points on 5-of-11 shooting. Faith Colston added nine points and Alyssa Goehring and Maddie Brillhart each had six. 

Cumberlands (19-8, 7-4 MSC) shot 50% from the field and made 12 triples. The Patriots forced Cumberland into 25 turnovers that translated into 32 points for the Cumberlands.

The Patriots had five scorers in double figures led by Kaylie Monday. Kaylie scored 17 points with nine rebounds, five assists, and five steals. Destiny Haworth scored 16 points while Jaiden Cox added 13 off the bench. Lakin Burke and Channing Lewis scored 11 and 10 respectively. 

The Cumberlands jumped up early on the Phoenix. Leading 7-4, the Patriots used a 15-0 run to get up 22-4 at the first media timeout. The Cumberlands went on to lead 30-11 after the first quarter. 

The Patriots extended their lead at the half to 28 points going into the locker room up 56-28. 

Cumberlands kept the throttle down in the third quarter continuing to grow the lead to 41 going into the fourth before closing it out with a 97-55 win. 

The Phoenix will wrap up the regular season on Saturday with Senior Day against the 11th-ranked Georgetown Tigers. Tipoff will be at 1:00 p.m.
