Men's Soccer Play to Scoreless Draw Against Wildcats

MCKENZIE, Tenn. - -  The Cumberland men's soccer team battled to a 0-0 draw on the road Friday night against Bethel University in Mid-South Conference play.

Goalkeeper Eric Zalaya was outstanding for the Phoenix, recording 10 saves to secure his fourth shutout of the season. Cumberland generated five shots and seven corner kicks in the match, with Mark Donaldson registering the team's lone shot on goal, testing the Wildcats keeper early on in the first half.

Despite Bethel outshooting CU 14-5, the Phoenix defense held strong under pressure, highlighted by key efforts from Ruairi Behan and Kacper Wolicki, who made his first start of the season.

With the result, Cumberland moves to 9-1-3 all and 1-1-1 in conference play. The Phoenix return home next Tuesday to host Freed-Hardeman at Lindsey Donnell Stadium.
