LEBANON, Tenn. - - Cumberland Women's Volleyball looks to bounce back on the road as they head to Georgetown.
The Phoenix (23-11) (5-4) are coming off of a close loss to Lindsey Wilson at home in five sets, but have won four of their last six contests.
Cumberland is led by sophomore outside hitter Lila Cade has had a dominant season, earning 383 kills (second in the conference), 3.02 kills per set (fifth in the conference), 385 digs (fourth in the conference) and 820 receptions (first in the conference) on a .950 reception percentage. Senior middle hitter Hazel Konkel has been one of the best two-way players in the conference with 239 kills (fifth in the conference) on a .348 hitting percentage (fourth in the conference) and 124 blocks (first in the conference). Freshman setter Carlee Rogers is having an impressive first year, with 724 assists (fourth in the conference), 5.70 assists per set, 327 digs, and 185 kills.
For the Tigers (3-18) (0-9), they are looking for their first win in conference play as they have just come off of a sweep on the road against Boyce. Georgetown is led by junior middle hitter Giara Ferrari, who has 129 kills and 40 total blocks. Junior defensive specialist Abby Walker has 185 digs and 393 receptions on a .903 reception percentage. Sophomore setter Faith Miller has been their best setter, as she has 253 assists, 3.51 assists per set., and .54 service aces per set (fifth in the conference)
In the all-time series, Cumberland has a record of 9-21 against Georgetown, but the Phoenix have won the last three matches, including a sweep just one month ago at Dallas Floyd Phoenix Arena. When the Phoenix head to Georgetown, they have a record of 2-12.
