CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky.--Cumberland men's tennis dominated Campbellsville with a 7-0 sweep on the road Wednesday afternoon to open up Mid-South Conference play.

The Phoenix took two of three doubles matches to secure the doubles point. Gabriel Godoy and Vitor Ferreira claimed a 6-4 win at No. 2 doubles, while Paul-Daniel Meyer and Julian Parada teamed up for a 6-3 victory at No. 3 to take the point.

Cumberland carried that momentum into singles play, winning all six matches. Vitor Ferreira set the tone with a 6-3, 6-3 victory at No. 1. Meyer battled through a tough No. 2 match, earning a 7-6, 7-5 win.

Parada fought back after dropping the first set to secure a 2-6, 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 3. Godoy (6-2, 6-1), Hassan Ammar (6-4, 6-4), and Arne Sohmer (6-3, 6-4) rounded out the sweep for the Phoenix.

Cumberland will finally play a home match on Friday against Grace College. The match will begin in the morning at 10:00 a.m.
