LEBANON, Tenn.--Cumberland men's volleyball celebrated Senior Night in dominant fashion, sweeping Midway University in straight sets (25-16, 25-6, 25-22) at Dallas Floyd Arena. The Phoenix honored seniors Sam Mannebach, Kaden Kuehler, and Kix Ferrell, with Ferrell and Mannebach each posting career-best performances in the victory.

Cumberland (14-7, 6-3 RSC) controlled every statistical category, finishing with 43 kills to Midway's 27 while committing just seven attack errors compared to the Eagles' 13. The Phoenix posted a dominant .439 hitting percentage, nearly tripling Midway's .175 mark. Serving proved to be a key factor, as Cumberland racked up 13 aces, led by Mannebach's seven, while the Eagles managed just two. The Phoenix also held a 5-2 advantage in blocks and 39-24 edge in assists, showcasing their efficiency on both sides of the ball.

Ferrell delivered a career-high 14 kills, leading all players, while Mannebach showcased his serving prowess with a career-high seven aces—all in a single service run during the second set. Mannebach also dished out 24 assists and recorded three blocks, helping Cumberland control the match from start to finish.

The Phoenix opened strong, hitting .371 in the first set with 15 kills, before turning in a dominant second frame where they recorded 13 kills on 19 attempts with zero errors (.684 hitting percentage) while holding Midway (3-13, 1-9 RSC) to just six points.

The Eagles made a push in the third set, but Cumberland rallied to tie it at 15-15 before taking their first lead. From there, Cumberland was able to close out the match behind Ferrell and Kuehler, who each tallied crucial late kills. Kueler used an emphatic ace to end the match and get the 3-0 sweep over the Eagles.
