Zamzow and Lind inside Top 5 at MSC Fall Preview; Phoenix in Third

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.--Cumberland women's golf opened the Mid-South Conference Fall Preview with a 307 and sits in third place after 36 holes at Bowling Green Country Club.

The 16th-ranked Phoenix held the first-round lead after their 307 before shooting 319 in the second round for a 626 total. No. 15 Cumberlands leads the field at 616, while No. 4 Lindsey Wilson is second at 621. Cumberland holds a 10-stroke advantage over fourth-place Freed-Hardeman.

Bethel is fifth at 665, followed by Campbellsville at 684 and Georgetown at 697.

The reigning Mid-South Conference Golfer of the Week, Crystal Zamzow, leads the Phoenix and sits in second place individually at five-over 149. She opened with a two-under 70, recording birdies on Nos. 6, 11, 16 and 18. Zamzow followed with a 79 in round two, adding birdies on Nos. 7, 13 and 18.

Matilda Lind is tied for fifth at 10-over 154 after posting back-to-back rounds of 77. Lind birdied No. 11 in the opening round and No. 7 in the second round for two birdies on the day.

Lucy Brown opened with a 75, posting three birdies including back-to-back birdies on No. 1 and No. 2. She shot an 83 in the second round and is tied for 12th at 14-over 158.

Franziska Mramor improved six strokes from her opening-round 86 to shoot 80 in round two. She is 22nd at 166. Lucy Zalla posted rounds of 85 and 84 and sits in 27th at 169.

Competing as an individual, Katelyn DeHart is 37th with a 178 total after rounds of 94 and 84.

The Phoenix return to the course tomorrow for the final round. Tee times are set to start at 8:00 a.m.
