Women's Basketball Look for Back to Back Conference Wins

LEBANON, Tenn. - - Women's basketball look to build on their first conference win as they face Georgetown College (RV) at the Dallas Floyd Phoenix Arena.

The Phoenix will look to build some momentum after their impressive first conference victory over No. 21 University of the Cumberlands, the teams battled hard in a closely fought contest where Cumberland only went behind once in the second half, but with some big plays got the 65-61 victory.

The Phoenix enter Saturday's match up with a 15-10 record, going 1-8 in the conference play. This is the second match up between the two teams this season with the previous game going to the wire, as the Tigers took the narrow 63-64 win on a final second free throw, so the Phoenix will be hungry to turn the tide and get the win on their home court.

Daisy Gale will be a player the Phoenix will have to be wary of as she is coming off a 28 point game against the Patriots where she went nine for 20 from the field, picked up six rebounds, and was eight for nine on the free throw line. Senior Kayra Freeman has been in fine form as she is .412 from the field and .800 on the free throw line.
