Women’s Basketball Set to Face Freed-Hardeman in MSC Tournament Quarterfinals

LEBANON, Tenn.--The Mid-South Conference announced the 2026 MSC Women's Basketball Tournament bracket on Saturday following the conclusion of the regular season, with Cumberland earning the No. 7 seed and a quarterfinal matchup against No. 2 seed Freed-Hardeman.

The Phoenix will face the Lions on Friday, February 27 at 5:00 p.m. CT at Bowling Green Arena on the campus of Bowling Green High School. The winner advances to the semifinals on Sunday, March 1.

The tournament features a tightly contested field, with conference tiebreakers required to determine multiple seed positions. Bethel and Freed-Hardeman shared the regular-season championship with identical 9-3 conference records. Lindsey Wilson secured the No. 3 seed, while Campbellsville earned the No. 4 seed following tiebreaker procedures based on records against common opponents.

Bethel claimed the No. 1 overall seed and received a bye into the semifinal round. Freed-Hardeman enters as the No. 2 seed, followed by Lindsey Wilson at No. 3 and Campbellsville at No. 4. Georgetown earned the No. 5 seed, Cumberlands is No. 6, and Cumberland rounds out the field as the No. 7 seed.

Friday's quarterfinal slate begins at 2:30 p.m. CT with Campbellsville taking on Georgetown. Cumberland and Freed-Hardeman will follow at 5:00 p.m. CT, while Lindsey Wilson faces Cumberlands in the final quarterfinal at 7:30 p.m. CT.

The semifinal round is scheduled for Sunday, March 1, with the championship game set for Monday, March 2 at 5:00 p.m. CT.

The tournament champion will receive the Mid-South Conference's automatic bid to the NAIA National Tournament.
