LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland Flag Football will play their inaugural home opener against RV Graceland University (Iowa) on Thursday, March 5th, with kickoff being set for 5:00 PM.

On the season, the Phoenix is 1-1 with a 12-8 win over LaGrange College and a 48-0 loss to Huntingdon College. 

Freshman QB Madison Woodard is the leader of the Cumberland offense, with a 59.09% completion percentage with one touchdown and two interceptions. Woodard's favorite targets are sophomore receiver Marley Hyde and freshman receiver Je'Leah Cole. Hyde has 12 receptions for 104 yards and Cole has six receptions for 86 yards.

Defensively, freshman returner Brianna Taylor is leading the Phoenix in tackles with 11, to go along with one interception and two pass breakups. Freshman defensive back Jada Starnes has been strong in pass coverage, grabbing two interceptions and adding one pass breakup.

Kickoff is set for 5:00 PM and it will be streamed for free on the Cumberland Sports Network.
