CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - -   Cumberland used timely hitting and a dominant outing from Mateo Santos to pull away late, defeating Campbellsville 10-4 and taking an early edge in the series.

Haussin drew another walk to load the bases, setting up Dylan LaRue, who lined a single up the middle to score Proctor and Williamson and stretch the lead to 7-3. Royer added to the inning with an RBI single to plate Haussin and make it 8-3.

Campbellsville managed to push across a run in the bottom of the eighth on a solo home run by Gabruck, but Santos remained in control and sent the Phoenix into the ninth with a comfortable lead.
