Blue Raiders Silence Phoenix in Lebanon

LEBANON, Tenn. - - Cumberland dropped a single game to Lindsey Wilson this afternoon, falling 6-0 to the No. 11 Blue Raiders.

The game stayed scoreless early before Lindsey Wilson broke through in the third inning, using a pair of extra-base hits to take a 1-0 lead. From there, Cumberland was unable to respond offensively, as opportunities were limited against a strong performance in the circle.

Lindsey Wilson created separation in the fifth inning, putting together a four-run frame on multiple hits while also capitalizing on a pair of Cumberland errors to extend the lead to 5-0.

Cumberland managed just one hit on the day, a Sara Brogdon double, and struggled to string together any offense, while Lindsey Wilson's pitcher kept hitters off balance all game, finishing with 16 strikeouts in a complete-game effort.

Lindsey Wilson added one more run in the seventh on a solo home run to cap the scoring. Cumberland will be back in action tomorrow against the Blue Raiders, with the DH starting at noon.
