Cumberland Picked Fourth in MSC Volleyball Preseason Coaches' Poll

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.--Cumberland University women's volleyball was picked to finish fourth in the 2026 Mid-South Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll, conference officials announced Tuesday.

The Phoenix received 21 voting points from the conference's seven head coaches after finishing the 2025 season with a 25-14 overall record and a 6-6 mark in Mid-South Conference play.

Cumberlands was selected as the preseason favorite after receiving 36 voting points and six of the seven first-place votes. The Patriots went 36-1 overall and a perfect 12-0 in conference play last season while claiming both the MSC regular-season and tournament championships.

Lindsey Wilson was picked second with 29 points and the remaining first-place vote, while Campbellsville landed just ahead of Cumberland in third with 28 points. Freed-Hardeman was picked fifth with 15 points, followed by Bethel with 11 and Georgetown with seven.

Cumberland women's volleyball's season begins this weekend with the CU hosting the Phoenix Classic inside the Dallas Floyd Phoenix Arena.
