LEBANON, Tenn. - - Cumberland University held a one-goal halftime lead, but Northwestern Ohio scored three times in the final 14 minutes to rally for a 4-2 victory over the Phoenix.

Northwestern Ohio opened the scoring in the 14th minute but it didn't take long for the Phoenix to respond as Abigale Alexander leveled the match in the 24th minute, finishing off an assist from Ruth Rodriguez, before Victoria Collins gave the Phoenix a 2-1 advantage in the 29th minute.

The Phoenix carried the 2-1 lead into halftime after putting 10 shots on goal in the opening 45 minutes. Sydney Eads made six saves in the first half to help Cumberland maintain its advantage.
Cumberland continued to create opportunities early in the second half, with shots from Adelyn Drane, Victoria Collins and Abigale Alexander, while Uxia Varela also put a pair of second-half shots on frame.

Northwestern Ohio eventually found the equalizer in the 77th minute when Risa Nishida scored her second goal of the afternoon off another assist from Celia Catalan Keck. The Racers then took the lead less than two minutes later when Camila Rico found the back of the net in the 78th minute.

Rico added her second goal of the match in the 83rd minute to complete the scoring and give Northwestern Ohio a 4-2 advantage.

Cumberland finished with a 20-18 advantage in total shots and earned five corner kicks compared to four for the Racers. Eads recorded eight saves in the loss, while Eisner finished with eight saves for Northwestern Ohio.

Collins led the Phoenix attack with six shots, including four on goal, while Alexander recorded four shots and a goal. Cumberland will be on the road for the first time this season next week, heading to Brescia on Thursday.
