Two Singles and One Double Team Still Alive at ITA Southeast Regional

GEORGETOWN, Ky.—Two singles and one duo team are still alive in the ITA Southeast Regional heading into the weekend.

The doubles team of Vitor Ferreira and Julian Parada defeated the No. 8 seed of Felipe Dias and Guilherme Cupertino from Tennessee Southern 8-6 to move on to the semifinals tomorrow. The duo will take on No. 1 seed from the Cumberlands Martin Muller and Hung-Ju Wu. 

Parada and Paul-Daniel Meyer both advance to the quarterfinals in singles action with wins today. 

Meyer rolled through Lakshay Vivek in the Round of 32 to advance and then won a three=set battle with Cupertino from Tennessee Southern in the afternoon. He is set to to take on Hernan Toledo from Campbellsville in the quarterfinals tomorrow morning.

Parada defeated Lindsey Wilson's Logan Engela in today's opener. He bested Nicolas Andrade from Campbellsville, 6-4, 6-4 in the third round. Parada is set to take on the winner of Lucas Marques from Lindsey Wilson and Gabriele Solda from the Cumberlands in the quarters. 

Damian Rossi suffered a second round loss to Alex Strainger from Georgetown to end his run in the singles bracket. 

Doubles action will begin tomorrow at 8:00 a.m. with singles to follow later in the day.
