LEBANON, Tenn.--Cumberland sophomore outside hitter Lila Cade was named an AVCA All-American Honorable Mention, the association announced, capping a standout season that also included First Team All-Mid-South Conference and AVCA Southeast All-Region honors. 

Cade put together one of the most complete all-around seasons in the NAIA, establishing herself as one of the nation's top six-rotation players. She finished the year with 437 kills, ranking among the NAIA leaders, while averaging 3.03 kills per set across 39 matches. Cade totaled 504 points, tied for 20th nationally, and swung at a .262 clip on 1,251 total attacks, showcasing both volume and efficiency on the pin.

Her impact extended well beyond the attack line. Cade was a constant presence in the back row, finishing second on the team with 456 digs (3.17 per set) while ranking fourth nationally in total receptions with 914. She added 44 service aces and posted a strong .946 reception percentage, consistently stabilizing Cumberland's serve-receive and defensive systems.

Cade's national recognition reflects her role in powering Cumberland to a 25-win season, the program's first since 2021 and the second-highest win total in the past 15 years. 

With conference, regional, and now All-America honors to her name, Cade's sophomore campaign stands as one of the most decorated individual seasons in recent program history.
She is the first Cumberland to earn All-America honors of any kind since 1997 when Delana Burleson was named a Second Team NAIA All-American.
