Women's Tennis Take Down Fillies 5-2

Box Score TIFTON, Ga. - - The Cumberland Women's Tennis Team took down Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College 5-2.

Cumberland won doubles after taking the two seed and winning due to a forfeit at the number three spot. Emilia Nowak and Juanita Mendez lost 7-6 (8-6) at one and Kaede Hatano and Lara Zugasti won 6-0 at number two.

Elina Sungatullina lost at the number one singles spot 7-5, 3-6, 10-4. Ame Van Eijk lost at number two to a 6-2, 6-2 scoreline.

Emilia Nowak won in strong fashion at the third spot 6-0, 6-0. Valentina Mendez took the next spot in the lineup 6-0, 6-3 and won the match as the Fillies forfeit the six spot. Lara Zugasti won singles and doubles, cementing her win 6-1, 6-0.

Cumberland will take on Southeastern on Tuesday of this coming week, March 4th at noon.
