15 Wrestlers Earn Academic All-Conference Honors

LEBANON, Tenn.--Cumberland Wrestling places 15 student-athletes on the Academic All-Conference list, league officials announced on Wednesday.

To be nominated by an institution, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and be in their third term or fourth quarter. The Mid-South Conference had a total of 65 student-athletes earn the honor.

Cumberlands (Ky.) led all men's wrestling programs with 16 academic selections, while Cumberland (Tenn.) followed closely behind with 15 honorees. Campbellsville (Ky.) ranked third among conference schools with 14 student-athletes earning recognition.

Cumberland's 15 Academic All-Conference selections highlight the program's continued commitment to excellence both on the mat and in the classroom. Representing the Phoenix are Jacob Barlow, Bentley Ellison, Ethan Gomez, Elijah Griffin, Victor Guzman, Logan Heckert, Rocco Horvath, Aiden Howard, Evan Huling, MaClain Otting, Joe Parisi, Anthony Pyron, Tyler Rowland, Sammy Shires, and Ryan Stein.

The Phoenix turn their attention to the Mid-South Conference Championship this Friday in Bowling Green.
