No. 5 Blue Raiders Hold Firm Against Phoenix's Effort

Box Score COLUMBIA, Ky. - - The Cumberland men's tennis team fought hard but was unable to unsettle the No. 5 ranked Lindsey Wilson Blue Raiders, falling 7-0.

Carlos Morillas and Mateus Mori took two games off the Blue Raiders No. 1 pairing, dropping 6-2. The following two courts fell by the same score, as the pairings of Mohamed Bouhlel and Matheus Guarnieri and Arne Sohmer and Arthur Fernandes both lost by scores of 6-2.

Singles action was all Lindsey Wilson from top to bottom. Carlos Morillas retired after dropping the first set 6-1. Matheus Guarnieri fell by scores of 6-2, 6-3, while below him Arthur Fernandes took the first set deep but fell, 7-5, 6-2.

Mohamed Bouhlel struggled to find his footing on court four, dropping both sets, 6-1, 6-3, followed up by Magnus Johansen losing 6-2, 6-0. Mateus Mori played the final match of the day, dropping his match by scores of 6-2, 6-2.

Cumberland will be right back in action tomorrow afternoon, taking on the Georgetown Tigers.
