Women's Golf in Fourth on Day One of the Gibson Bay Invite

RICHMOND, Ky.--Cumberland women's golf is in fourth place after day one of the Gibson Bay Invite.

Only a handful of players finished both rounds today before the daylight caused them to push the rest of the second round into tomorrow.

Cumberland shot a 321 in the first round and are 32-over as a team thus far with four players left to finish one hole and one to finish two holes.

Dalton State is in first place leading by 10 strokes. Marian is in second place followed by the University of the Cumberlands in third and the Phoenix in fourth.

Matilda Lind is the leading Phoenix sitting in a tie for eight place. She was the only Cumberland player to finish both rounds. She started her day with a three-over 75 in the first round finishing with 81 for a total of 156.

Nathalie Nutu shot an 80 in her first round and has a 74 with just a par four left to play. Currently she is tied for 14th place at 154 strokes.

Ida Furuheim posted an 81 in round one and also has one hole to finish in her second round. She is tied for 21st at 156 through 17 holes in round two.

Caitlyn Bilham is tied for 30th with a hole left to finish. Bilham shot an 85 in her first 18 holes and is sitting with a 79 through 17 holes.

Ksenia Yakovleva is competing as an individual in this tournament. She shot an 86 in her first round and has an 82 through 17 in her second round. She is tied for 40th.

Lucy Labdon is tied for 43rd with an 85 in round one and is at an 85 with two holes to finish.

The Phoenix will finish out the second round before getting into the final 18 holes tomorrow.
