Nutu takes Second as Phoenix finish in Third at Blue Raider Fall Classic

COLUMBIA, Ky.--Nathalie Nutu finishes in second place while the Phoenix take third at the Blue Raider Fall Classic at the Pines.

Lindsey Wilson jumped Northwestern Ohio to win the event on their home course with a total of 925. The Racers were four strokes back at a 929 total and the Phoenix carded a 938 and 314 in the final round.

Leading the charge was Nathalie Nutu, who secured second place with a total of 226. Nutu really shot up the leaderboard with her second round of a 71 and shot a four-over-par 76 to back that finishing in second. She picked up two birdies and six bogeys in the final round.

Tying for ninth place were Matilda Lind and Lucy Labdon, both finishing with totals of 233. Lind's resurgence in round three with a 73 landed her second-straight Top 10 mark. Labdon started the day in ninth and ended the day in ninth earning her first collegiate Top 10

Ksenia Yakovleva secured eleventh place overall with a total score of 238, her strong start in round one propelled her to 11th after finishing with an 81 and an 83. Franziska Mranor tied for 14th place, posting a total of 242.

Caitlyn Bilham tied for 18th place with a total of 247, while Emily Loveless finished at 266, securing 23rd place overall.

The Phoenix will be back on the course on October 2nd and 3rd at the Carey Collegiate in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
