Cumberland Women's Golf Remain Ranked 17th in NAIA Coaches Poll

LEBANON, Tenn. - - Cumberland Women's Golf stays at No. 17 in the latest NAIA Women's Golf Coaches' Top 25, released Friday afternoon by the national office.

The Phoenix accumulated 226 points in the fourth regular-season rating of the spring as NAIA No. 1 Keiser (Fla.) kept the top spot in the rankings. Dalton State (Ga.) remains No. 2, while Marian (Ind.) jumps two spots to No. 3. British Columbia moves down one spot to No. 4 and rounding out the top 5 is SCAD Savannah (Ga.) who also moved down one spot.

Cumberland is still one of three Mid-South Conference programs featured in the national rankings, joining No. 10 Cumberlands (Ky.) who have moved into the top 10 with the latest rankings release and No. 16 Lindsey Wilson (Ky.).

The Phoenix just completed their second spring tournament in London, Ky at the Patriot Invitational hosted by the University of the Cumberlands. Cumberland finished in third on both days of play led by great rounds from Lucy Labdon and Matilda Lind as both golfers finished with nine pars and a couple birdies respectively in round three.

Cumberland is gearing up for action next week, competing in the Music City Classic on Monday and Tuesday in Hermitage where the Phoenix will look to keep their momentum rolling. This will be the last tournament they play in before the conference championships on April 27th and  28th. 

The next edition of the NAIA Women's Golf Coaches' Top 25 is scheduled to be released on April 24th.
