Kibiwott, Bett, and Forbes Qualify for NAIA Cross Country National Championship

LEBANON, Tenn.--The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics announced the field for the Men's and Women's Cross Country National Championships with Mercy Kibiwott earning a spot in the women's field and Kennedy Bett and Joel Forbes in the men's field. 

The men's field is composed of 36 teams and 80 individuals that will be in contention for the red banner. The women's field has 36 teams and 82 individuals. 

Each championship field has been made up of 22 automatic qualifying teams and 14 at-large berths. Teams qualify with automatic bids by winning their conference championship meet or finishing as the runner-up provided the conference has 12 or more schools. 

The National Championship race will take place on Friday, November 22 in Columbia, Mo., at Gans Creek Cross Country Course. 

The men's race will begin at 10:30 a.m. and the women's race will take place after at 11:30 a.m.
