Cumberland Cross Country Started Off Their 2025 Season Strong At the Twilight Invitational

MARION, Ind. – Cumberland Cross Country had a productive start to their 2025 at the Twilight Invitational.

For the Women's team, they finished 14th out of the 21 teams that competed in this event with a score of 369.

To lead the way, Sami Parker finished in the 67th position with a time of 24:35.6, Sarah Wilkerson finished in the 74th position with a time of 24:53.1. Alexa Rumpf finished in the 111th position with a time of 25:41.3.

Jenna Towles finished in the 113th position with a time of 25:44.5, Lilah Moher finished in the 117th position with a time of 25:48.3. Channon Cundiff finished in the 129th position with a time of 26:14.7, Laykin Ellis finished in the 141st position with a time of 26:34.7.

Wendy Komane finished in the 149th position with a time of 26:44.3, and Mickinzie Fisher rounded out our group where she finished in the 159th position with a time of 27:03.7.

Taylor University won the Twilight Invitational with host school Indiana Wesleyan and Marian rounding out the top 3.

For the Men's team, they finished 17th out of the 24 teams that competed in this event with a score of 478.

To lead the way, Matteo Abel finished in the 59th position with a time of 26:01.7, Garrett Tunks finished in the 132nd position with a time of 27:05.8, Ethan Garcia finished in the 149th positon with a time of 27:21.7.

Edwin Kigen finished in the 160th position with a time of 27:29.9, Bela Brandl finishied in the 170th position with 27:35.4, Wesley Calderon finished in the 274th positon witha time of 30:18.7. Finally, Max Berkey finished in the 286th position with a time of 31:08.6.

Host school Indiana Wesleyan won the Twilight Invitatiional with Taylor and Marian rounding out the top three.

Cumberland is heading to Midway, Kentucky for their next meet at the Midway University XC Invitational on Friday September, 19th.
