Women's Bowling earns Fourth Place Finish at Bowlero Southern Classic

MARIETTA, Ga.--Cumberland Women's Bowling earned a Top 5 finish this weekend taking fourth place at the Bowlero Southern Classic.

Cumberland University Women's Bowling team had a strong showing, finishing in fourth place with a total score of 9,207 pins. The Phoenix scored 5,608 pins in traditional games and added 3,599 pins in Baker games.

Pikeville claimed first place with a total score of 10,123 pins, with 6,201 pins in traditional games and an additional 3,922 in Baker rounds. SCAD-Savannah followed in second place, recording 9,985 pins overall, including 5,947 in traditional games and 4,038 in Baker play. Milligan University secured third place with a total of 9,327 pins, scoring 5,585 in traditional games and 3,742 in Baker games.

The Phoenix had four bowlers finish inside the Top 20 led by Alyssa Campbell, finishing in 12th place. She had a total of 1,158 pins, averaging 193 per game. Gracie Connelly followed closely, taking 14th place with 1,154 pins and an average of 192.33 per game. Jennifer Chiarillo placed 17th, scoring 1,134 pins with an average of 189 per game. Serenity Freeman finished in 18th place, totaling 1,130 pins and averaging 188.33.

Kathleen Schraer placed 78th, with a score of 729 pins over four games, averaging 182.25. Andrea Anderson and Carlie Semrau completed the tournament in 110th and 112th places, respectively, with one game each, scoring 157 and 146 pins.

Cumberland will return to action this upcoming weekend as they travel to Dayton, Ohio to compete in the Wright State Rider Classic.
