Cumberland Softball Releases 2025 Schedule

LEBANON, Tenn. - - The Cumberland Softball team looks forward to a big season ahead as Head Coach Stephanie Theall released her 2025 softball schedule, including 29 home contests.

The season kicks off on Saturday, February 8 with a double-header at home against UT Southern, one of six different teams who they will owe a return series to during the 2025 season. Each of the following two contests will fit that same bill as the Phoenix take on Reinhardt on February 13 and then Tennessee Wesleyan two days later on Saturday the 15, both on the road.

February stays busy as Cumberland starts off their next week with three separate two-game series, first against Johnson University on Tuesday, February the 18 in Knoxville. Cumberland then follow that up with back-to-back home series against Bryan College and Brescia that Friday and Saturday.

Those weekend series kick off a long home stand at the Billy Dee Ross Stadium, playing six more games at home, all the way through the beginning of March. Tennessee Wesleyan comes to town on February 25, after which no. 9 ranked Georgia Gwinnett and Reinhardt open up the month of March for the Phoenix.

Another pair of series on the road at Bryan College and UT Southern lead to Cumebrland's conference opening weekend when Bethel comes to town. That series is the first three-game series of the season and will kick off on Friday, March 14.

Cumberland then has four more doubleheaders until their next conference matchup, hitting the road to take on the Freed-Hardeman Lions in Henderson on March 28 and 29. The Phoenix then head south to take on Georgia Gwinnett for their return series on April 1st.

Sandwiched in between two non-conference series, the Phoenix take on Campbellsville at home. After that three-game weekend Cumberland has one more non-conference break, taking on Lane College on April 8 in Lebanon.

The Phoenix then wrap up their season with three straight weekends of MSC action, returning to Williamsburg, Kentucky to take on powerhouse, no. 3 ranked Cumberlands. Georgetown then comes to town for the Phoenix's last regular season series in Lebanon, before CU wraps up their season in Columbia, Kentucky at Lindsey Wilson.

Postseason play will start with the Mid-South Conference Tournament. All games will be played in Clarksville, TN beginning Wednesday, April 30.
