Cumberland Women's Bowling Continue Strong Play in MSC Greater Nashville Open

LEBANON, Tenn. - - Cumberland Women's Bowling finishes in fourth in the MSC Greater Nashville Open.

The Phoenix used another strong performance this season to finish fourth out of 18 teams in the MSC Greater Nashville Open with a score of 5092, and they finished second among Mid-South teams. Pikeville won the MSC Greater Nashville with a score of 5627, Tennessee Wesleyan finished in fifth with a score of 4843, the Cumberlands finished in seventh with a score of 4136. Midway finished in 11th with a score of 4564, Union Commonwealth finished in 13th with a score of 4376. Lindsey Wilson finished in 14th with a score of 3687, and Campbellsville finished in 17th with a score of 3135.

Individually, the Phoenix had four bowlers in the top 25, Senior Gracie Connelly finished in ninth with a score of 784 with an average of 196. Senior Madison Clayton finished in 10th with a score of 779 for an average of 194.75. Junior Serenity Freeman finished in 11th with a score of 776, for an average of 194. Junior Kathleen Schraer finished in 25th with a score of 727, for an average of 181.75. Senior Madison Taylor bowled three games and had an average of 181.33, Sophomore Jennifer Chiarillo also bowled three games for an average of 160.87. Senior Carlie Semrau bowled two games and bowled an average of 175.5.

In the eight baker games, the Phoenix finished with 1428 pins for an average of 178.5, and with that score, they were able to jump Tennessee Wesleyan and claim fourth.

The Phoenix are back at Smyrna Bowling Center as they compete in the MSC Brandon Burns Memorial on October 26th
