Women's Bowling Places Fourth in MSC Brandon Burns Memorial

LEBANON, Tenn. - - Cumberland Women's Bowling gets their second top five finish of the weekend in Smyrna.

The Phoenix finished in fourth of 18 teams in the MSC Brandon Burns Memorial with a score of 5322. SCAD-Savannah won the MSC Brandon Burns Memorial with a score of 5745. Looking at the rest of the conference, Pikeville finished in fifth with a score of 5274, Tennessee Wesleyan finished in sixth with a score of 5170, the Cumberlands finished in seventh with a score of 5155. Midway finished in eighth with a score of 4771, Union Commonwealth finished in 11th with a score of 4449, Lindsey Wilson finished in 16th with a score of 3760, and Campbellsville finished in 17th with a score of 3737. In the eight baker games, Cumberland finished with a score of 1563, for an average score of 195.375.

Individually, the Phoenix were led by Gracie Connelly, who finished with a score of 821, for an average of 205.25, which was good for fifth in the competition. Serenity Freeman finished in tenth with a score of 784, for an average of 196. Jennifer Chiarillo finished with a score of 756 for an average of 189, which was good for 17th. Cathleen Schraer finished with a score of 667, for an average of 166.75. Both Carlie Semrau and Madison Taylor bowled two games, with Semrau getting an average of 180.5 and Taylor getting an average of 185.

The Phoenix have a week to get prepared for their next USBC event, as they head to Marietta, Georgia to play in the Bowlero Southern Collegiate Classic on November 1-2.
