Aalders and Idamadudu Hit ‘A’ Standards as Phoenix Wrap Up Tennessee Invite

KNOXVILLE, Tenn.--Cumberland Women's Track & Field posted a strong showing to close out the Tennessee Invite on Saturday, earning five Top 10 finishes.

The day was led by standout performances from Praise Idamadudu and Isabelle Aalders, who each hit NAIA "A" standards and secured top-five national marks.

Aalders cleared 1.70 meters in the high jump to take first place out of 11 competitors, tying her personal best while locking in the fourth-best mark in the NAIA this season.

On the track, Idamadudu sprinted to an eighth-place finish in the 100m dash with a time of 11.67 seconds, hitting the "A" standard and recording the fifth-fastest time in the NAIA this year. The senior was the top NAIA finisher in a loaded field of 44 athletes.

Two Phoenix runners set new personal bests in the 400m. Leesa Mutandwa placed 10th overall with a time of 58.56, while Ezthia Maycock matched that mark to finish 14th in her heat.

Isabella Lehtinen turned in a strong race in the 100m hurdles, placing ninth out of 22 runners with a time of 14.66 seconds—good for 17th in the current NAIA rankings.

In distance events, Hope Britt clocked a season-best 2:37.87 in the 800m, while Lilah Mohler (2:42.65) and Alexa Rumpf (2:41.44) rounded out the Cumberland effort. Lauren Crissinger finished 12th in the 3000m steeplechase.

In the throws, Zoe Vlk placed seventh in the shot put with a toss of 13.01 meters.

The Phoenix are back in action next weekend at the Lee University Fast Break Invitational.
