Thirteen Phoenix Earn Academic Honors; Vlk Named MSC Champion of Character

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.--Cumberland University Women's Track & Field had 13 student-athletes earn Academic All Mid-South Conference honors, while Zoe Vlk was named to the MSC Champions of Character Team, conference officials announced Friday afternoon.

Vlk was selected to the Champions of Character Team for her commitment to the NAIA's five core character values: integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership. Each MSC institution nominates one representative who exemplifies these principles both on campus and in the community.

In the classroom, Cumberland had the second-most athletes named Academic All-Conference among MSC schools, trailing only University of the Cumberlands (22). To qualify for Academic All-MSC honors, student-athletes must have achieved at least a 3.25 GPA and have completed at least one full academic year at the institution.

The following Phoenix earned Academic All-MSC honors: Zoe Vlk, Jenna Towles, Isabelle Aalders, Hope Britt, Lilah Mohler, Ifunanya Muoghalu, Ezthia Maycock, Daveina Watson, Leesa Mutandwa, Sharon Jerop, Isabella Lehtinen, Maddie Bittle, Samantha Parker.
