Nowak Earns NAIA Women's Tennis All-America Third Team Honors

LEBANON, Tenn.--Cumberland freshman Emilia Nowak has been named a 2025 NAIA Women's Tennis Third Team All-American, as announced by the national office on Friday morning. The All-America teams are selected by the NAIA All-America committee.

Nowak becomes the first Cumberland freshman to earn All-America recognition since Angelica Sepulveda  in 2013. Her standout debut season adds another accolade to a campaign that already included Mid-South Conference Freshman of the Year and Second Team All-Conference honors.

The Poznan, Poland native posted a 9-3 record in singles play this season, going a perfect 5-0 in conference matches while competing primarily at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions. In doubles, Nowak finished with a 10-8 record, including a 4-1 mark in Mid-South play.

Nowak is ranked No. 60 in the ITA national singles rankings and is the seventh-highest ranked singles player in the Mid-South. Paired with Juanita Mendez, the duo ranks No. 40 nationally in doubles and is the fifth-highest ranked tandem in the conference.

She was also named Mid-South Conference Player of the Week earlier this season.

Nowak is the 11th player in women's tennis history to earn All-American honors.

Nowak is one of eight Mid-South Conference student-athletes to earn national recognition, continuing the league's tradition as one of the most competitive in the NAIA.
