Cumberland Women's Golf Starts the New Year Ranked No. 22

LEBANON, Tenn.--Cumberland women's golf will open the 2025-26 season ranked No. 22 in the NAIA Women's Golf Coaches' Top 25 Preseason Poll, announced on Friday by the national office.

The Phoenix return a strong core led by junior All-Conference honorees Matilda Lind and Lucy Labdon, along with sophomore standout Crystal Zamzow, giving head coach Rich Williams a veteran lineup ready to build on last season's success.

Cumberland collected 141 points in the poll, coming in just behind Oregon Tech at No. 21 and ahead of Rocky Mountain at No. 23. The Phoenix are one of four Mid-South Conference programs featured in the national rankings, joining No. 9 Lindsey Wilson, No. 11 Cumberlands, and Bethel (Tenn.) is receiving votes.

The national poll was topped by Keiser (Fla.), who edged out defending national champion British Columbia by a single point, 405 to 404. SCAD Savannah, Marian (Ind.), and Texas Wesleyan round out the top five.

Cumberland will open its fall campaign September 8-9 at the Bob Rohrman Invitational, hosted by Indiana Wesleyan.
