Men's Golf Receives Votes in the Preseason Top 25 Coaches' Poll

LEBANON, Tenn.--Cumberland men's golf begins the 2025-26 season receiving votes in the NAIA Men's Golf Coaches' Top 25 Preseason Poll, announced Friday by the national office.

The Phoenix return key contributors from last year's squad, highlighted by senior Patrick Chesnut, a Second Team All-Conference selection, and sophomore Bailey Rousseau, also a Second Team All-Conference honoree. Their experience and leadership will anchor a roster looking to break into the Top 25 early this fall.

Cumberland earned 23 points in the preseason rating, placing just outside the national rankings. Mid-South Conference rival Lindsey Wilson enters the year as the No. 1-ranked team after winning the 2025 NAIA Men's Golf National Championship, while Campbellsville also represents the conference at No. 22.

The national poll featured a tight top three with Lindsey Wilson, Oklahoma City, and Keiser separated by less than 30 points. Dalton State and MidAmerica Nazarene round out the top five.

The Phoenix open their fall season at the Bob Rohrman Invitational, hosted by Indiana Wesleyan, on September 8-9.
