Lebanon, Tenn. - - After helping her team to two victories in the past week with five goal contributions, Adelyn Drane the freshman forward has earned her first career Mid South Conference Player of the Week. 

The first game of the week saw the Phoenix take on Missouri Baptist in St. Louis. The team found themselves 2-0 up and dominating, however, against the run of play Missouri Baptist halved the deficit. Only moments later Drane found Seika Stull who calmly finished to make it 3-1. Drane wasn't done for the half as she found herself in an advanced position with only minutes left in the first half, she played a ball perfectly into Allyson Hawkins for her to make it 4-1 and get Drane her second assist.

The Phoenix dominated much of the second half, and it paid off for Drane as she made a dashing run into the box to meet a cross from Klara Bjorkman and headed the ball home to get her first goal of the game. 

Less than five minutes later Drane got herself on the end of another cross, this time from Uxia Varela, and scored her second goal of the day. 

After having an outstanding game against Missouri Baptist, Drane earned her first start of her college so far. The team had a nervy start going 1-0 down, but Sky Hull managed to equalise just before the half. The team took some time to regroup at the half, and it paid off as they took the lead in the second. Drane managed to chip in with another assist on a Matilda Walker goal.

The forward has made an instant impact since coming in as a freshman. Drane is one of the team leaders with four goals so far this season, and is second in assists with four. She also leads the way with Seika Stull on 12 points. Both players lead the conference on points. Drane is also tied for second in the conference on goals and assists. The freshman forward will be hoping to continue her success as the Phoenix begin Conference this weekend.
