Winter Storm Forces Postponement of Multiple Cumberland Athletics Events This Weekend

LEBANON, Tenn.--Due to a significant winter storm impacting travel conditions across the region, Cumberland University Athletics has announced the postponement of several scheduled competitions originally set for Saturday. The decision was made with the safety of student-athletes, coaches, staff, and fans as the top priority.

The severe weather system is expected to bring hazardous road conditions and winter precipitation throughout Tennessee and surrounding states, making travel unsafe for teams and officials. As a result, the following Cumberland Athletics events have been postponed:

Women's Basketball at Freed-Hardeman University
Men's Basketball at Freed-Hardeman University
Women's Bowling at the Mid-South Conference Lynne Jordan Memorial
Men's Bowling at the Mid-South Conference Lynne Jordan Memorial
Women's Bowling at the Mid-South Conference Thomas N. Burris Memorial
Men's Bowling at the Mid-South Conference Thomas N. Burris Memorial
Wrestling at the Missouri Valley College Invitational
