Box Score LEBANON, TENN. - - Cumberland struggled to get into a rhythm against a strong Georgetown team as the visitors swept in three sets. 

Joao Infante once again led the Phoenix with 12 kills and a .214 hitting percentage. Zendai Richards chipped in with seven kills. Richards also had a busy night on the defensive end with nine digs. Austin Kuehler finished with 22 assists on the night. Cumberland finished with a .139 hitting percentage. 

The first set seen the Tigers get the early lead through some big blocks kills from Luis Vivius and Adam Szewinski. Cumberland went on a 5-1 run with kills from Infante and Frederick Amegbletor, as well as a block from Francesco Corradini and Richards to make it a three point set at 13-16. Although the Phoenix made a push, the Tigers didn't let the pressure get to them and remained ahead for the rest of the set. A Kristjan Unt kill ended the set 22-25 in favor of the visitors. 

The second set was back and forth in the early stages with it level at 6-6. It was once again Georgetown who went on a three point run to put a little breathing space between themselves and the Phoenix at 6-9. The Tigers went on a four point run to extend their lead to 11-16. Cumberland battled to claw some points back but it wasn't enough as Georgetown took the set 21-25. 

Going into the third Georgetown kept up the momentum going on an early 1-7 to give themselves the early 3-12 lead and really put pressure on the Phoenix. The Tigers went on another 1-4 run to extend their lead to 6-17. Although the Phoenix went one a couple of three point runs, the deficit was simply too big as Georgetown wrapped up the game taking the final set 13-25. 

The Phoenix will look to bounce back on Friday 27 as they travel to Indiana to face (RV) Oakland City.
