Infante Continues to Pile on Historic Season with Fourth RSC Attacker of the Week Award

LEBANON, Tenn. - - Joao Infante racked up his fourth RSC Attacker of the Week award today, earning the honor for his always consistent offensive output against Campbellsville and Georgetown.

Infante led Cumberland offensively, averaging 5.57 kills per set with 39 total kills while hitting .342 across two conference matches. The senior outside hitter recorded a dominant 27-kill performance in a road win over previously undefeated No. 4 Campbellsville and reached a major milestone, surpassing 1,000 career kills.

The Portuguese outside continues to lead the conference in kills and kill per set, leading second place by more than fifty kills. He has also climbed into the top five nationally for kills per set with 4.33, while he ranks eighth in total kills with 280.

The honor marks Infante's fourth River States Conference Attacker of the Week award this season, his fourth in the last five weeks, and the eighth of his Cumberland career.

Cumberland will be on the road this weekend for a pair of matches against Oakland City and Brescia.
