Phoenix Head to Bowling Green as No. 3 Seed in MSC Tournament

LEBANON, Tenn.--The Mid-South Conference announced the bracket for the 2026 MSC Baseball Tournament on Saturday, with Cumberland earning the No. 3 seed and set to open postseason play on Wednesday, April 29.

The tournament will be held at Bowling Green Ballpark, home of the Bowling Green Hot Rods, and will run through Saturday, May 2. The tournament champion will receive the conference's automatic bid to the NAIA National Tournament.

Cumberland (23-25, 10-8 MSC) will face No. 4 seed Lindsey Wilson Blue Raiders baseball (19-28, 9-9 MSC) in the opening round of the double-elimination bracket on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. CT.

University of the Cumberlands enters the tournament as the No. 1 overall seed after capturing the MSC regular-season title with a 16-2 conference record (40-6 overall). The Patriots will face the winner of Tuesday's opening elimination game between No. 6 seed Bethel and No. 7 seed Georgetown, which is scheduled for a 4:30 p.m. CT first pitch.

The double-elimination portion of the bracket begins Wednesday with three games. Top-seeded Cumberlands opens play at 11:00 a.m. CT, followed by No. 2 seed Freed-Hardeman (32-15, 13-5 MSC) taking on No. 5 seed Campbellsville (26-21, 6-12 MSC) at 2:30 p.m. CT. Cumberland and Lindsey Wilson will close out the opening day at 6:00 p.m. CT.

The tournament will continue through Thursday and Friday, culminating in the championship game on Saturday.

The MSC Tournament champion will earn the league's automatic berth into the NAIA National Tournament.
