LEBANON, Tenn. -- After adding four goal contributions in two games, Luis Cerejo was named the Mid-South Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced this morning. 

The Junior was a strong offensive force for the Phoenix in their two matches this week, scoring the second goal and assisting on the third in a 3-3 draw on the road at No. 4 William Penn.

The Portuguese midfielder also scored two goals on just three shots on goal in the Phoenix's Mid-South Conference opener against RV Bethel (Tenn.), helping to propel the Phoenix to a 3-1 win.

This is Cerejo's first Offensive Player of the Week award this season, and the second of his career. This is Cumberland's third straight weekly offensive honor.

The Phoenix are back in action tomorrow, as they face off against UT Southern on Tuesday, September 15th at 3:00 PM.
