Mramor Leads Cumberland After Day One of Lady Roadrunner Fall Classic

DALTON, Ga. - - The Cumberland women's golf team competed this morning in the Dalton State Lady Roadrunner Classic, landing themselves in ninth place after two rounds.

Cumberland had relatively tight placement as Franziska Mramor led the way with a 14 over on the day, scoring an 80 in the first round and a 78 in the second for a 20th place finish. Following her and tied for 30th place was Matilda Lind and Crystal Zamzow who both shot 17 over through two rounds.

Lind shot an 85 through her first round but then came to life her second time around, shooting a 76 with three birdies and ten pars. Zamzow though was more consistent, carding an 80 and an 81 with a birdie per round. Only separated by a single shot from the aforementioned pair, Lucy Labdon went 18 over through two, including shooting the only eagle on the day, sinking the par four on hole five.

Alba McCorquodale rounded out the pack for Cumberland with a score of 190 through 36 holes, landing a 78th place finish after day one. Tomorrow the Phoenix will play with conference opponents Freed-Hardeman and Bellevue, teeing off at 7:30 AM.
