Lind Earns NAIA Second Team All-America Honors

LEBANON, Tenn.--Cumberland Women's Golf junior Matilda Lind added another accolade to a standout 2025-26 campaign, earning NAIA Second Team All-America honors as announced by the national office.

The Gothenburg, Sweden native becomes the sixth Cumberland women's golfer to earn NAIA All-American accolades. She is the first Phoenix since Anna Krieger in the 2022-23 season to earn the honor. Lind finished the year ranked No. 38 nationally by Clippd and was previously named the Mid-South Conference Golfer of the Year after posting the highest national ranking among conference golfers throughout the season.

Lind competed in all 10 tournaments for the Phoenix, recording a 75.8 scoring average across 29 rounds while collecting one tournament victory and six top-10 finishes.

Her season was highlighted by a championship performance at the Mid-South Conference Women's Fall Preview, where she claimed medalist honors in a 45-player field. Lind also turned in a fifth-place finish at the Music City Classic, eighth-place finish at the Kinderlou Forest Spring Invite, ninth-place showing at the Patriot Invite, and a 10th-place finish at the Currahee Club Invitational. She added a seventh-place finish at the Rohrman Invitational and placed 14th at the Carey Collegiate.

Lind helped lead Cumberland burst back into a national tournament run with a strong spring season, guiding the Phoenix to a runner-up finish at the Mid-South Conference Championship and a berth in the NAIA Women's Golf National Championship. She closed her season shooting a 75-84 to help CU finish 17th.

The All-America honor caps a remarkable junior campaign for Lind, who established herself as one of the premier golfers in both the Mid-South Conference and the NAIA.
