Phoenix Close Out Lady Roadrunner Fall Invite in Ninth

DALTON, Ga.--Cumberland women's golf wrapped up play at the Lady Roadrunner Fall Invite on Tuesday, finishing ninth in a competitive 15-team field at Dalton Golf and Country Club. The Phoenix posted a final-round 324 to bring their three-day total to 966 (332-310-324).

Host Dalton State captured the team title with a score of 906, followed by Marian (922) and SCAD Savannah (927) rounding out the top three. Indiana Wesleyan finished in fourth place followed by William Carey in fifth. Lindsey Wilson took sixth at 952, Texas Wesleyan was seventh at 959, and Tennessee Southern was eighth at 961.

Lucy Labdon led the way for Cumberland, shooting a 6-over 78 in the final round, She fired four birdies on the round with five bogeys, one double and one triple. Labdon totaled 240 strokes to finish in a tie for 30th.

Matilda Lind finished one stroke behind Labdon at 241 strokes in a tie for 34th place. Lind carded an 80 on the day with six bogeys, one double, and 11 pars.

Franziska Mramor closed out with an 86 to finish tied for 40th with 244 strokes. Crystal Zamzow shot a n 88 in her final round to end with 249 strokes in 52nd place.

Alba McCorquodale matched Lind's 80 in the third round to move up the leaderboard three spots. She finished in 70th place with 260 shots.

The Phoenix will return to action at the MSC Fall Preview at Bowling Green Country Club to close out their fall schedule on October 27-28.
